Jim Hall Chaparral II
The famous driver/engineer from Texas won his second straight USRRC race at Watkins Glen on June 17th, 1965 with an average speed of 99 mph. The beautiful Seneca Lake can be seen in the background making Watkins Glen a gorgeous track to visit as a racer or spectator. The Chaparral is shown here under full throttle exiting the 90. He and teammate Hap Sharp circulated like clockwork in an impressive and seemingly effortless 1-2 win. Painted by artist, Robert Gillespie.
